Barriers to intercultural academic communities.
As college students with a diverse network of international friends, my partner and I identified a notable gap in the academic landscape, wherein international students often remain within their respective nationalities. Motivated by this observation, we embarked on creating an app to bridge language barriers and foster a more inclusive environment within academic settings.

Competition LACKS academic-focused language exchange.
While they may offer language learning or translation features, they lack essential components for academic support and collaboration among international students. Key missing elements include structured academic resources, subject-specific terminology, group study features, and a focus on fostering a cohesive academic community.

Objective: To investigate language barriers encountered by international students enrolled in the Wisconsin School of Business. Additionally, the research seeks to examine the existing measures and strategies implemented by these students to mitigate these language-related challenges.
The research initiative commenced with a thorough competitive analysis, undertaken to gain insights into the strategies employed by other applications in addressing analogous challenges. We collected over 100 user survey responses to quantify customer preferences and concerns. Additionally, one-on-one interviews helped uncover users' goals and journeys for the app's effective resolution.

Refining Creativity: Multiple Iterations, One Logo.
Strategic Brand Development: In the early stages, our team conducted thorough discussions to define core brand values, leading to a semiotic analysis. This guided the creation of a purposeful logo aligning with our vision. Following iterative design and internal evaluations, guidance from our supervisor shaped the choice to center our logo around the letter 'b,' a decision reinforcing our brand identity.

Through ideation, sketching, and discussions with our professor, a comprehensive understanding of high-fidelity prototypes was achieved. Initial sketches and low-fidelity prototypes enabled efficient progress and seamless exploration of project objectives
Academic Collaboration: Our app facilitates group projects, resource sharing, and interdisciplinary discussions, fostering academic excellence and an enriched learning experience.
Language Exchange: Real-time chat and voice communication break language barriers, providing students with opportunities to practice foreign languages, enhance language skills, and boost confidence in a supportive environment
